Thanksgiving at Lake Oconee!

I may have to put these pictures in 2 separate posts because we have SO much to blog about from our first Thanksgiving weekend at our new lake house. Everyone in our family (and Connor, ML's boyfriend) arrived at Reynolds on either Tuesday or Wednesday and then on Wed. evening, Stephen, Emily, Will, Connor and Mary Lauren and I all headed over to the Ritz for their annual "Lighting of the Lodge" ceremony. They had a live nativity scene -- with real goats, a camel and other live animals, which thrilled Will! -- and food, drinks and other events including a live auction to benefit a children's charity. The Ritz had a beautiful, life-sized gingerbread house put together in the lobby and then at 6pm, they had Santa arrive and cue the tens of thousands of little white lights that hung from every tree in view. It was a beautiful night and we even won a silent auction item -- a giant bottle of Patz and Hall Pinot!!! Will enjoyed the event but he was mostly just enamored with Connor -- he wanted to be by him at all times, hold his hand and was just generally Connor-focused!! It was very cute and Connor is such a great sport about hanging with the little man!!
